Bodogwu PAAR application is a do-it-yourself kind of process. Originally, to obtain PAAR document, importers sends shipping documents to the bank and the bank in turn sends it to the NCS. Getting PAAR documents was a bit of a long process, as some banks insist on CBN rule that original documents must come from Exporters directly. Thus, the Exporter sends two courier documents; one for the bank, and another to the importer. Some people rather use the telex release or express release to avoid the cost associated with double courier of original documents.
